Tucked away on a piece of land that used to be a family tobacco farm, The Loft at Sunflower Trail is one of those venues you don't stumble onto by accident — it has its own hidden spot, off the beaten path, which somehow makes arriving there feel like a small discovery every time. That sense of place is no accident. The venue is family built, owned, and operated, and it shows in every detail of how it's run.
I had the chance to film Lexi and Dustin's wedding here, and it's a day that's stuck with me. It was hot — over 90 degrees, with an outdoor ceremony that could have easily wilted under that kind of heat. Instead, it turned out beautifully. There's something about a couple that's genuinely, deeply in love that seems to carry a day through anything the weather throws at it, and that was Lexi and Dustin from start to finish. They even brought their dog along, treated like an absolute princess for the day — which, if you know anything about how I like to film weddings, is exactly the kind of real, personal detail I love capturing.
The Setting
Established in 2017, The Loft preserves and repurposes a real piece of family history into a wedding venue that feels steeped in warmth rather than polish. It's elegant without losing that down-to-earth, welcoming feeling the moment you step onto the property — the kind of space that lets a couple's actual personality show through, rather than competing with it.
Tabitha & Claire
The venue is run by Tabitha and Claire, and I can't recommend working with them enough. They're absolutely wonderful — attentive, warm, and clearly invested in making sure every couple's day goes exactly as it should. As a filmmaker, having a venue team that's easy to work with makes a real difference in how a day flows, and that was true here from start to finish.
A Venue Worth Choosing
Between the hidden, tucked-away feel of the property, the family history behind it, and Tabitha and Claire's hospitality, The Loft at Sunflower Trail is a venue I'd recommend without hesitation. If you're a couple considering it — you're in excellent hands.
